HERSHBERGER, Clark William

Clark M. (sic) Hershberger, Veedersburg, age 51 died of a heart attack suffered early in the day at 4 p.m. Saturday at his home here. He was a WWI veteran. Born Sept 6, 1893 in Veedersburg, he was a son of Harley and Minnie (Young) Hershberger. He married Lou Wilhite, who survives with their two children, Clark Jr of this community and Jerry Lee at home. Other survivors include two grandchildren, a brother Clyde of Muncie and two sisters, Mrs. Vera Hiles of Ft. Wayne and Mrs. Mary Neemspiel of Muncie. A farmer in early life, Hershberger had been employed by Indiana Condensed Milk here as a truck driver. He enlisted in the Marine Corps May 15, 1917 and was discharged Aug 13, 1919 serving overseas with the 76th Regt. He was a member of Sterling Christian Church and Charles Forrest Post of the American Legion. Burial in Bonebrake Cemetery.

Veedersburg – A heart attack suffered earlier in the day proved fatal to Clark M. Hershberger, 51, WWI veteran at 4 pm. Saturday at his home here.  Hershberger was born Sept 6, 1893 in Veedersburg a son of Harley and Minnie Young Hershberger. He was married to Lo u Wilhite, who survives with their two children, Clark Jr of this community and Jerry Lee at home. Other survivors include two grandchildren, a brother Clyde of Muncie, Ind and two sisters, Mrs. Vera Hiles of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Mary Neemspiel of Muncie.  A farmer in early life, Mr. Hershberger had been employed for several years by Indiana Condensed Milk Company here as a truck driver. He was a member of Sterling Christian Church and Charles Forrest Post of the American Legion. The body is at the Fishero Funeral Home. Arrangements are incomplete.
